Gouri Initiative

The Gouri Initiative promotes self-defence and safety for women and children through practical training and awareness. It aims to build confidence, preparedness, and a stronger sense of personal security.

Tiger Helmet

The Sundarban Tiger Helmet initiative focuses on safety for people working and travelling in tiger-inhabited areas. It supports practical measures to reduce risk while recognizing the close relationship between local livelihoods and the surrounding environment.

Sundarban Handicraft Project

The Sundarban Handicraft Project shop opened in Pakhiralay on 9 September 2022, bringing terracotta figures shaped by local women to a place where visitors could see and buy them. Named after my mother, Gouri, the shop grew from a hope that the Sundarbans’ river clay, local knowledge, and creative skills could support new livelihood possibilities.
